COME RES team in Spain presents the results of the project at GENERA 2023

On 22 February 2023, the COME RES team in Spain led by ECORYS, S.L., was present at the conference on self-consumption organised by the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF) in the framework of GENERA, the international renewable energy fair held in Madrid (Spain).

Irene Alonso (ECORYS) participated in a session on Energy Communities to present the preliminary results of the COME RES project to an audience of more than 80 people. The presentation focused on the conclusions of the comparative analysis of the existing policy and regulatory frameworks in the EU countries analysed by the project, showing the differences and similarities in the state of transposition of the RED II Directive.

Detailed information was also shared on the international and interregional transfer processes of selected good practices, focusing on the process carried out in Spain between the renewable energy community of Crevillent (COMPTEM) and the target region of the Canary Islands.

The presentation on COME RES was preceded by several presentations from key actors in the sector, such as Sara de la Serna (IDAE), who explained the results of the CE-IMPLEMENTA call for projects financed by the NEXT Generation EU funds and applicable exclusively to the development of energy community projects. Paula Santos (UNEF) presented the new Quality Seal for self-consumption installations developed by the PV association.

Participants in the session also included several installation companies, legal experts specialised in advising energy communities, as well as representatives of collective self-consumption initiatives promoted by citizens.
